K Stars: 11+ year olds $560.00 Sundays 9 am – 3 pm (January – March)
K Stars, new for 2009/2010, is a 1 day program developed for kids 11 years of age and up. Our goal is to help teenagers develop as strong technical skiers on all terrain, as well as introduce ski coaching/instructing, race officiating and, most of all, continue to develop the passion for the lifelong sport of alpine skiing through a fun, safe program that fosters friendships, respect and other life skills.
Participants of the K Stars program must be 11 years old, or older, and graduated from the Race Tigers or Race Kids (E2) program or some other equivalent program. Skiers should be progressing toward improving their skills on the more challenging terrain of Silver Star Mountain. Skiers will also be expected to participate in the dryland training program in the fall.
K1: 11-12 year olds $950.00 K2: 13-14 year olds $1000.00 Saturdays & Sundays 9 am – 3 pm (November – March) (fee includes additional weekday training, and fall dryland training, schedule TBA)
Our K program provides professional coaching for kids who are keen to spend lots of time on snow and become strong alpine skiers or alpine ski racers. A balance of all-mountain skiing as well as race training helps to build skiing skill and a life long passion for the sport. The season starts with dryland training in September. On-snow training starts near the end of November and continues thru first part of April on most Saturdays and Sundays. Optional weekday training will also be added as the season progresses and is available to all K1/K2 participants at no additional cost. There are several race events throughout the season that are not mandatory; however, all athletes are encouraged to test their skills in these fun, competitive events.
J1 – J2 Non-FIS: 15-19 year olds $1050.00 J1 – J2 FIS: 15-19 year olds $1570.00 (includes BC Alpine fees)
Our J programs provide a continuation of the K program with professional coaching and continued emphasis on skill development. For the competitive racer, the FIS program provides comprehensive race training and an introduction to regional, national and international competition.
Masters: $350.00
Specific training and race schedules TBA.
