The Vernon Ski Club delivers 4 entry level programs for skiers aged 4 -11. As well as a more advanced Alpine Program for aspiring ski racers. All these programs deliver customized free skiing and introduce young skiers to alpine ski racing.
Dedicated volunteer and professional coaches ensure a perfect mix of fun, skill development, safety, and skier etiquette to the skiers while they experience Silver Star’s fantastic terrain. Skiers will participate and have the opportunity to excel in organized alpine racing through team and individual racing where fair play is promoted and rewarded with ski medals and ribbons to every competitor resulting in huge smiles and great memories!
Register your children in one of our programs this ski season and watch your child’s skiing skills develop and their confidence swell along with their smiles.
Our club has coached hundreds of young skiers and our successful programs have helped families enjoy the sport of Alpine skiing and ski racing for over 35 years. Check out how much fun you can have on an economical recreation budget!
It all starts with programs that follow the philosophy of fair play and group competition. We design our entry level programs so children ski with others of similar ability and emotional development.
Groups usually consist of 8 skiers and one dedicated coach. The younger children will also have club volunteers (like yourselves) assisting the coach.
Our programs focus on the children’s safety while delivering a FUN and exciting skiing experience including the opportunity to race head to head with other children of similar skier ability. All the participants in these fun races will receive awards in a team format. The result, more smiles than will fit your viewfinder!
