Kids want to have fun with their friends and skiing provides a great environment for this to happen. The Vernon Ski Club knows that kids have more fun as skiing skills improve.
The Vernon Ski Club delivers three entry level programs for skiers aged 5 -11, two VSC exclusive programs for developing skiers ages 11 and up, as well as a more advanced Alpine Program for aspiring ski racers. All these programs deliver customized free skiing and introduce young skiers to alpine ski racing.
Our entry program follows the 7-step Husky Snow Stars program which is promoted by Alpine Canada, the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation, and Provincial Ski Associations. Husky Snow Stars is a premier skill development program, which provides guidelines for coaches and parents, athlete report cards, skill level certificates, videos, trading cards and festivals. Our goal is to celebrate the progress of skiers and ski racers of all ability levels in an enjoyable and rewarding environment.

Skiers will participate and have the opportunity to excel in organized alpine racing through team and individual racing where fair play is promoted and rewarded with ski medals and ribbons to every competitor resulting in confidence, huge smiles and great memories!
Groups usually consist of 8 skiers and one dedicated coach. The younger children will also have club volunteers (like yourselves) assisting the coach.
Our programs focus on the children’s safety while delivering a FUN and exciting skiing experience including the opportunity to race head to head with other children of similar skier ability.
