Training Camps

First time downhillers and seasoned veterans will all benefit from joining our team of expert coaches for the four day ‘Over the Hill Downhill Training Camp. Campers can get 4 to 5 runs of DH in a day on a fully fenced and immaculately groomed course. The OTHDH Course is 1.5kms of green and blue runs from the top to bottom of the Vance Creek face of the mountain. New racers can be at ease and improve their skills on a gentle track, while expert races can experience the thrill of speeds up to 110km/hr. We highly recommend that anyone competing in the Over the Hill Downhill event on Sunday February 5th take advantage of these camps!

The Vernon Ski Club will be hosting a ‘town hall’ style meeting Thursday October 27th 530-630pm at the Vernon Library. Note this is a meeting for all age groups, parents and kids / athletes welcome. During the meeting, you will find out more about the direction of our club for the future (our vision) and the focus of our programming for 2016-17. Norman Kreutz from the Snowsports School will be on hand to talk about the U7 Rippers program and answer questions.

I encourage you all to attend and to notify any friends and family who are considering becoming involved with the club.
