Our Fast & Fit program has two primary goals - develop the 'team' culture early and develop the fundamentals of athleticism.  The program aligns with the 'Learn to Train' phase of long term athletic development (see  Broadly speaking, the program is targeted at 8-12 year olds though we may accept younger or older kids if it is deemed appropriate.  The main goals of the program are:

  • Have fun, play games, connect with your team mates and coaches.
  • Increase awareness of how the body works and how to train.
  • Develop physical literacy  - agility, balance, coordination, basic speed, basic strength - through games and fun drills.
  • Develop flexibility
  • Develop fundamental skills of throwing, kicking, running, hopping, balancing etc.

Fast & Fit 2022 runs Mondays & Wednesdays for field sessions and Fridays for a group hike. Start time is 5:30pm until Thanksgiving and then 5pm for the rest of the season. Fast & Fit runs Monday September 12th to Friday October 28th.
